Magnox Electric

Magnox Electric Ltd, part of British Nuclear Group approached Computerworld with an ambitious training programme - to train hundreds of new and existing users in three different areas of their business-critical SAP MM Module, to get working practices in line with a new organisational model.

The training would be tutor-led, encompassing employees at ten sites across the UK, and the project needed to be completed within a seven week window. Computerworld have been working with BNG for almost ten years as a quality IT Training provider, and during this time we have enjoyed a close working relationship and provided an excellent service. Our long-term relationship with BNG has enabled us to gain a very good understanding of the business and positioned us as a valuable existing training partner.

Remote locations

The key challenges in this project were to skill-up a team of high-quality, experienced trainers both in the complex transactions of the SAP module and in the new business objectives that Magnox were keen to see implemented. They would then be located at some of the remotest locations in the country, each within a highly secure environment.

Our successful proposal was to assemble a team of experienced trainers who together would learn the three bespoke courses in a classroom environment, under the guidance of a Computerworld SAP expert with previous experience of the British Nuclear Group business. Once the team were ready, they spread out to six dedicated training rooms set up around the country from Ayrshire in Scotland to the Dungeness peninsular in Kent

Positive feedback from Magnox

Working exceptionally hard, we managed not only to complete the project on time and within budget, but received excellent feedback from the delegates across the country.

Emma Shields, Project Manager for Magnox, wrote to us:

The feedback from the Training Evaluation Forms shows that delegates considered that the objectives of each course were met, and that the courses would improve their performance in their roles now and in the future."

We believe that our good working relationship with the client, coupled with our policy only to use the very best training professionals, ultimately helped us provide a highly successful training project, meeting all objectives and delivering a high quality service.
