The IT industry is constantly updating and advancing from where it is today. ComputerWorld host a business technology conference that explores the latest from their partners, to help your business increase productivity, overcome challenges and keep one step ahead of your competitors. Or in other words... Define Tomorrow™.

Define Tomorrow™ - VMware Update will summarise all the content and updates announced at VMware's annual event, VMworld.

On the day we will also discuss the latest trends and updates within the technology industry and our key partners. We will have specialist speakers from VMware, Dell and our own specialist team at ComputerWorld. 

You will have a chance to network with colleagues and our ComputerWorld experts will be on hand to offer help and advice on the big themes discussed.

Joe Baguley - VMware EMEA, CTO and Vice President

Joe helps develop and communicate VMware's strategy and vision with customers and partners, using his wealth of experience to help organisations reduce costs and better support users and business needs. Joe is a recognised leader withing the European tech community and considered one of the top 50 most influential leaders in UK IT. He has played a key role in the CloudCamp and other events, communicating how cloud technology fits into the broader IT landscape. 

In addition Joe is also on several advisory boards at the European Commission and ETSI and is a founding committee member of the Data Center Specialist Group at the British Computer Society which helped shape the European Code of Conduct for data centers. 

 

Simon Townsend - AppSense CTO

Simon is a passionate and experienced technologist and evangelist with both field and executive level experience. As the chief technologist, Simon is a regular presenter at events and spends much of his time talking to customers across EMEA on how End User computing is evolving and how we can secure, optimize and manage more technology in a world where user expectation is higher than ever.  Acquired by LANDESK this year, Simon now forms a team of individuals who help discuss the short and longer term strategy for the AppSense brand and other LANDESK technologies. 

Barry Coombs - ComputerWorld, Operations Director

Barry is Operations and Pre-Sales Director for ComputerWorld by day and an avid Blogger following everything to do with the virtualisation, storage and cloud industries.

Barry's responsibilities range from identifying new technologies and architecting solutions for customers to speaking and hosting customer focused events surrounding virtualisation, end-user computing, storage and cloud computing. Barry blogs at VirtualisedReality.com and DefineTomorrow.co.uk and is co-host of the EUCPodcast.com podcast.

Barry has been awarded a VMware vExpert from 2010 through to 2016 and earlier this year was also added to the NVIDIA GRID community Advisor programme. Barry has also co-authored two books focusing on VMware Horizon View.

Mark Pearce - EMEA Director Channel Networking

Mark Pearce is the EMEA Channel Director for Dell EMC Networking. Joining Dell in February 2014, he is responsible for the management of a team of individuals developing, expanding and supporting the company's go to market networking partners. During the last 18 months Dell Networking has become the 3rd largest networking vendor in EMEA, much of this success is due to the growth of the channel business.

With over 30 years' experience in the IT Networking industry, Pearce has worked on both sides of the fence. Regularly presenting at analyst forums and industry events across Europe he is comfortable discussing topics as diverse as the role of switching in eco-efficient data centres, to the implementation of channel demand generation strategies.
