Or in other words... Define Tomorrow™.

Define Tomorrow™ 2017 - Industry Update will focus on three strategic areas of business IT, Infrastructure Modernisation, Security and Workspace Transformation as well as giving an update following VMware's annual event, VMworld.

The event will be packed with presentations from industry recognised specialists and speakers including VMware CTO Joe Baguley, the UK's leading ethical hacker Jamie Woodruff and more to be announced. There will be on stage demonstrations and 2 full vendor halls exhibiting, demonstrating and discussing their technologies. The day will close off with the opportunity to join a roundtable discussion on a subject that matters to you.

You will have a chance to network with colleagues and our ComputerWorld experts will be on hand to offer help and advice on the big themes discussed.

Using his wealth of experience, Joe helps organisations reduce costs and better support their users and business needs by developing and communicating VMware's strategy and vision. Joe is a recognised leader within the European tech community and considered one of the top 50 most influential leaders in UK IT. He has played a key role in the CloudCamp and other events, communicating how cloud technology fits into the broader IT landscape. 

In addition Joe is also on several advisory boards at the European Commission and ETSI and is a founding committee member of the Data Center Specialist Group at the British Computer Society which helped shape the European Code of Conduct for data centers.

Jamie Woodruff - UK's Leading Ethical Hacker & CTO Metrix Cloud

In his early twenties, Jamie Woodruff is already one of the world’s leading authorities on cyber security specialising in Social Engineering - Human manipulation methods, Cognitive Biases,  A director of both a Cyber Security company specialising in Training, Penetration Testing & Recruitment. Jamie is also the Cyber Safety Advisor for the Cyber Smile Foundation which specialises in Online Cyber Bullying, He also sits on the Team Of Advisors for the Cyber Smile Foundation.

Woodruff is an expert on cyber issues, travelling internationally to talk at global corporations and the industry’s most important conferences. He is also writing a book on cyber intelligence and combating cyber terrorism whilst hoping to pursue a PhD in political science at Sheffield University this following September.

Ruben Spruijt - Frame, Field CTO  

Ruben Spruijt is Field Chief Technology Officer at Frame (www.fra.me), responsible for driving vision, technology evangelism and thought leadership with Frame customers, partners and communities. Mr. Spruijt is a well-regarded author, speaker, market analyst, technologist, and all-around geek. An established industry leader and luminary. He is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP), NVIDIA GRID Community Advisors, VMware vExpert and was in the Citrix CTP program from 2008-2017.

He has presented more than 250 sessions at national and international events such as BriForum, Citrix iForum Japan, Citrix Synergy, Gartner Catalyst, Microsoft Ignite, Microsoft TechEd, NVIDIA GTC, and VMworld. Mr. Spruijt founded several independent industry analysis bodies including Project Virtual Reality Check (VRC), Team Remote Graphics Experts (TeamRGE), AppVirtGURU written and co-authoring multiple disruptive ‘Smackdown’ research whitepapers.  Ruben is an advisor for various start-ups in mobile, community Cloud industry and Remote User Experience Analytics.
