Our People Skills programmes give participants those interpersonal, communication and performance skills that are vital for personal success in managing the challenges of today’s business culture. Participants can expect to engage with others for positive results, increase their personal effectiveness, improve relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, work more productively, and make a positive impact both on their careers and their organisation.
- Effective Communication
- This programme helps anyone to communicate in a more positive and assertive manner both in and outside the workplace.
- Coping with Aggressive Conflict
- This programme gives participants a greater insight into human behaviour, identifying why some people are difficult and how to deal with different types of people problems.
- Handling Stress
- A practical guide to stress management for anyone wishing to understand the cause of stress and how to reduce its effect both in the workplace and at home.
- The Power of Influence
- Gives participants the opportunity to explore and identify what influence is and how they can become more influential with others. It explodes the myth that people are “born influencers” and shows how, through a change in mindset and application of specific skills, they can develop the natural authority to influence others.
- Speed Reading
- The volume of material we are expected to read continues to increase, so it is important that we learn how to process this material speedily and effectively. This programme will help participants process our abundance of knowledge.
- Self-Development and Image Projection
- Image and self-projection are two of the most important opportunities for creating a positive impact. Self-improvement in these areas will get you noticed by those who matter – both with your colleagues and customers. This programme identifies ways to improve confidence and self-esteem leading to improved relationships with others. It has been developed for anyone who wants to project themselves positively in a variety of situations and help them feel more confident when dealing with people at all levels.
- Report Writing
- This programme gives participants the skills to write persuasive and coherent reports, help them to organise information and, more importantly, communicate powerful ideas to support decision-making. It has been developed for anyone who needs to improve their written communication style and technique.
- Writing Effective Letters and Emails
- Writing for results means producing effective documents. Effective writing achieves the result that the writer intends. Most working documents are read because the reader must read them: the writer’s task, therefore, is to make reading as easy as possible.
- Minute Taking and Agenda Writing Skills
- Good minute-takers are worth their weight in gold. Minute-takers can do more than record the outcomes of meetings concisely; they can also help the Chair run the meeting more effectively. This programme brings participants up to date with the latest thinking on meeting records and covers all the practical skills of minute-taking. A key message is that minute-taking can only be effective as part of the wider process of meeting administration. Minutes should be brief, but how should they look? Examples in a range of formats will be used, and participants can take away ideas for improving the quality of their own work.
- Presenting with Impact
- This programme is designed to provide participants with a toolkit to improve their presentation skills and build confidence by confirming and highlighting their areas of strength. It covers the formulae for putting ideas and information together in a structured and logical way, helping to make a presentation more memorable. Participants will also have the opportunity to consider the physical aspects of presentation delivery, including the use of voice and body language and put these methods into practice by creating a short presentation. As a group, there will also be the opportunity to give and receive constructive feedback on individual performance when presenting a work related topic.
- Managing your Time Effectively
- An intensive and time efficient programme that aims to offer real, practical tools and skills for being more organised and focused in the workplace. Whilst not being able to “make” more time for participants, the programme shows how to make more efficient use of the time available. This is an essential programme for anyone with time related issues, or who may be stressed, disorganised or frustrated at the “lack” of time they encounter.
